Studies show that, on average, Paramedics face assault every 46 hours and injury-causing attacks every 9 days, with injury rates four times higher than the national average. It is notewhile, of course, that female EMT's have a disproportionately greater risk of violence-related injuries. When Wendy Devlin elected to become a paramedic, she hadn't done so with the idea in mind to become a statistic. Unfortunately, it is also notewhile that life doesn't always go the way you expect.
