(I do not take credit for Better Call Saul or any of its characters. This story contains some foul language, and some descriptions of the cartel/violence. This contains many chapters and is still being written, so please be patient!!) After Hector Salamanca's sudden health decline, Lalo Salamanca travels to Albuquerque to run things- and he decides to bring his 22 year old daughter Esperanza along for the ride. Esperanza and the cartel's money distributor, Luis Varga, develop a stronger bond than they would like. While things in the cartel get grittier, Lalo gets more suspicious of his daughter's affairs with Luis. How will Luis and Esperanza manage their feelings for each other whilst Luis deals with the grief of the death of his older brother, and Esperanza desperately tries to prove herself to her father? (This story takes place during seasons 4, 5, and 6 of bcs. Most plot points are the same to the show, except in this universe Lalo has a daughter and Nacho has already passed away, and his younger brother Luis is here to replace him. PLEASE do not be disrespectful, this is just for fun, and to fulfill my joy of writing an action/romance in the bcs universe. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!) There are plot twists, character development, and most importantly lots of emotions!

"Touch me, please" she begged breathlessly. She wasn't sure when she had crossed the line from shrinking from his touch to craving it. Her chest felt tight and her lungs burned under his intense jade gaze. He crossed the room silently, stalking forward and grabbing her ankle to pull her down the bed. She didn't have time to register the bloodstains on his crisp white button down before he was on her. A little gasp tumbled past her lips at the all consuming feeling of him. It was like she knew nothing of desire until she first felt his hands around her throat. That thing that had been winding itself tight in her chest broke so violently that she wondered if it was possible for him not to have heard it. He pulled back for a moment, taking her face in his hands and leveling that same intense gaze as he searched her face. For a man so adept at killing, his eyes were remarkably soft.

I truly was living a life most people only imagined in their dreams I was both rich and popular whenever the name Katherine Laurier was mentioned everyone knew who I was. I guess being the it girl of New York had it's perks until my life crumbled. I'd lost more in a year then I would've ever imagined possible, everyday I felt numb. Suddenly I felt as though things made sense especially when I met him.

She's just trying to find better parts of her story, but how she handles things doesn't help.
