Emily is a freshman in high school. She seems like the average teenage girl. She's funny, friendly, smart, and has great friends. But something is different about her. She's the only girl on her high school drumline. After adjusting to high school and her drumline full of guys, she grows to love them. She spends several hours practicing with them. Even though there's a lot of joking around, they put in the work and become a really talented line. And then one day, a new guy comes in. He's a freshman, and he joins the drumline. He's actually really good, and Emily notices something different about him. A good different. They become good friends, and eventually it all changes. Will they be drumline family? Or will they be more?

Blake Walcott is an eighteen year old girl who has to put her goal of becoming a percussion director to a halt when she meets five boys who are looking for the one thing there sound lacks.

Marinette has grown emotionally and physically stronger, thanks to her best friends Tikki and Alya for making her join the Color Guard in marching band. She became less awkward around her crush, Adrien, bur she's slowly, slowly, getting over him. Adrien, who is going to the same college as Marinette, was also convinced by Plagg and Nino to join the drum line in the school's marching band. A cheesy romance centered on marching band. Prepare to be amazed, grab some popcorn, and enjoy the best book we've ever written. Warning: it's the first book we've ever written. Disclaimer: This will make you want to watch chick flicks and eat pistachio ice cream. May cause side effects of staring at drum majors and wanting to meet the two fantastic authors. So when the drama department needs a skilled drummer, they obviously call on Jack for help. But what Jack didn't sign up for, was the lead in the play who happens to be a total douche bag. After being betrayed by her best friend she refuses to trust anyone. When the new drummer, Alex, shows up she feels something different about her, but can she trust this feeling or will it only lead her to another betrayal? Nick noticed that his best friend/Drumline Captain, Harriet, hasn't been showing up to rehearsals lately. After discovering that she has quit Marching Band all together, Nick confronts Harriet at her home to find out why she's decided to throw it all away. (This is an excerpt on a novel I've been working on. Not sure if I will continue with it, thought this little sneak-peak might let me know if it's something worth pursuing.)
