Alex has just moved to a new school. Playing drums has been a constant in her life but something strange happens at her new school, or more like someone. Hazel hasn't had the easiest life. After being betrayed by her best friend she refuses to trust anyone. When the new drummer, Alex, shows up she feels something different about her, but can she trust this feeling or will it only lead her to another betrayal? Once upon a time, there was a group of kids that discovered the wonderful world of marching band, with the beautiful uniforms, the rattling snares, the gorgeous flags flying and the thought out halftime shows. Among those kids were four; Jacob, Jay, Amy, and Lanie. This is their story.

This idea came to me in the middle of a football game, and I have to say I'm pretty proud of it. I haven't really seen anyone else take advantage of this AU, so I guess I'll be one of the first. Midoryia has never played an instrument; well, unless you count that recorder you have to play in Elementary school... that is, until his friend Uraraka was able to drag him into it. My rant

Alexis Grace Porter grew up as a happy, kind, beautiful girl. People said she'd grow up and marry rich, never to earn her place in the world. She believed them. Her older brother had been her best friend and played more of a parent role then either of her parents. After their parents divorce however, everything changed. Lex's mother turned to drugs, her father became abusive, and her brother committed suicide. Her only way out was through music. She became not only a drummer in her high school band, but the best drummer her school had ever seen. With no suprise, Lex earned a full ride marching band scholarship to her dream school. She was determined to become top snare, little did she know that a hot, egotistical, cocky jerk by the name of Marcus Laine was just as determined. Lex and Marcus quickly grew to loathe one another, which is to be expected. But what was not expected was their hatred to fade away as they got to know each other's secrets and developed... feelings? They learn that there is a fine line between love and hate. How do they decide who gets top dog? Will their relationship make it? Will the drumline make it? Or will it crumble?
