She finds that talking to people outside of her small friend circle is terrifying and is easily overwhelmed by crowds. When marching, she has no problem playing with the rest of her section, but in her junior year, an opportunity for a solo presents itself. When when her nerves overwhelm her right before an audition, one of the drum majors steps off the podium to offer her a quiet, supportive word-and an unlikely, deeply supportive friendship is born. Long hours of band camp, late night bus rides from competitions, and football games only seem to bring them closer together, but a slight slip up between the two could cause a domino effect over everything they've been attempting to build.

Zoey is a freshman and she's new to the marching band. She's there to follow her family tradition and continue a legacy. At first she's unexcited about being there at all. The only two good things are her new friends, Julia and Noah, and the hot drum major, Ethan. Life seems to be quite troublesome for Zoey. She has a lot going on throughout the whole marching season. So I might be trying out for my bands Drum Major position, and not to long ago, I had a dream about it. I decided that I would share it with all of you, so here it is!

It has always been noise, blood, and tears. It's just different now. Just better. (And if you know me you know who this is LOOSLY based off of, i swear i still dont have any hard feelings it just seemed like a chill idea)

Annabeth Chase was the only girl in drumline. Not only that, she was also center snare. She made sure that all the sweaty, shirtless, hormonal boys stayed in line. Fun, right? But then one day in her Senior year, she manages to catch the eyes of a certain green eyed star quarterback. And jealous cheerleaders aren't the only things Annabeth has to worry about.

Carrie is an 18 year old senior who's best friends are band nerds, and she rules over all. She is the drum major, has boyfriend issues, and meets a cute sub in band class. What is to come of this "kiss virgin" and will she and the stranger sub meet again? All this and more in "The Kiss Virgin".

Particularly, he takes an interest in Tina, who he recognizes from winning multiple awards for her excellent piano playing skills. Follow these three as they begin their journey in marching band while dealing with the ups and downs of high school life.

Drum set player Julia McCoy is not a typical marching band member. Forced to move across country and become a rookie as a junior, the newest tenor drummer deals with an intense Instructor, a cheerleader and the possibility of love in her own section. In addition, Julia joins a local rock band, Beans and Cornbread, and begins teaching drum set lessons. Events in the fast-paced novel work around band camp, Beans and Cornbread's first show, an 'impacting' first marching band competition, sneaky cheerleading exes and an exciting Homecoming week. It wasn't easy when it started out, my emotions were everywhere, I was conflicted about every move and action. Then I realized, love isn't supposed to be easy.
