He quickly realises how much his surroundings are constricted, his legs are tightly bound and he is being cradled in someone's arms. He opens his eyes and sees a woman leaning over him and realises she must be the one holding them. She's humming softly with a warm and happy smile. He can see that her skin is clammy and there are bruises under her eyes, the eyes that are amber, golden-brown as well as smoky topaz, but that doesn't dim her smile as she gazes upon the person in her arms. She's white and her brown hair surrounds her face in messy curls.

If you live in the large nation of Oblia, you would know that music is just a simple way of life. Music is the top ten most important things in the nation. But, only a small handful can actually create music for people to listen to. Which means, a new musical artist would have to create musical once in a while, but don't worry, the government has that covered. Every ten years for the past two hundred years, a battle of the bands is held, determining the next artists that can create music for the public. The winner, earns a ten-million dollar prize, huge respect in the community, and the honor of playing music actually copyrighted and worth money for people to listen to. Competition is tough though, out of a limit of one hundred bands, fifty will be chosen, then twenty, top ten, top five, and the winner. To win is the dream of bands who want to be popular, but once you enter, you cannot enter the next decade.
