This is a poem that I wrote about a car accident that I was recently in where the driver that hit us was a drunk driver.

From a young age we are taught that the world is black and white, that there is always a very obvious line between right and wrong. But as we grow up, the black and white becomes less clear and that once very prominent line gets harder to see. Everleigh Anderson is the girl that everyone knows as the "cheif's daughter", nice but not too nice, pretty but not flat out gorgeous and all in all, average. Knox Carter was always the outsider, the one that everyone knew of but nobody actually knew, few have tried to get close to him and in the end all have failed. He has a secret, but doesn't everybody? When things unravel will they be able to stay strong?
