But when Drew moves in with his father, who is a recovering alcoholic, Drew falls into a hole of mental illness and agrees to going to a party- and drinking. Little does Drew know that'll be a big mistake. In this book of love, hate, forgiveness, friendship, and recovery, Drew will learn a lot about who he's supposed to be.

"What is wrong with you?", Ryder asked Alexandra in a strained voice because he couldn't bear to watch her as she was fading away. She grew weak day by day. She spoke less day by day. She was losing strength. She couldn't battle with her self anymore. She just wanted to die but she wasn't strong enough to kill herself. She couldn't bring herself to do the deed of riding this world of a useless person. She replied in a fragile voice that broke Ryder's heart and he ended up shedding tears for her pain. All bad things come with consequences. Now all he's left with is their child and his own shame, trying to constantly keep Lily's memory alive through the baby because it hurts to much to forget. The new Cody is quiet, reclusive and still makes bad jokes. She quit soccer and would rather be by herself than be with her friends or people in general. Now, she focuses on taking care of her two younger brothers and attempting to learn how to play the guitar. When Leo, a part time rocker and a full time pain in the ass, discovers Cody struggling to play a G chord, he makes her an offer: He'll teach her how to play in exchange for her owing him three favors, no questions asked. Cody's determination to learn is stronger than the annoyance that Leo's presence brings, so she agrees. What will happen when Cody learns that guitars aren't the only thing with strings attached?
