She lived within the corps for a few years before Genji resigned and took her away with him. Genji bestowed upon her the name "Mizuki" meaning "The Beautiful Moon" as her appearance reminded him of the moon. He also granted her his last name, thus effectively adopting her as his daughter. . . . Years later, the current Hashiras bowed down in front of Oyakata-Sama as he announced a new Hashira.
