A poem I wrote a few years ago following a breakup I went through, in which I knew nothing could be done to change anything yet I still hoped for some sort of future. Through this misfortune I was very focused on the "what ifs" and "what could have beens" rather than trying to cope, understand, reflect, learn, and move on. This poem focuses on my understanding of the difference between what I feel and what I know. The poem hints at both these aspects throughout, focusing on both moving on and knowing how hard it is.

Many marvel at the phenomena of this world that we can scientifically measure & observe. Indeed, many marvel yet still at just how much we cannot directly measure & observe, & yet seems to be at play phenomenally in some mysterious way. In this work, I shall attempt to elucidate upon some possible postulates related to the so-called physical & 'meta'physical realms & their seeming complementary & interdependent nature, whether or not prevailing philosophies support or contradict this view.
