Dubious - If you describe something as dubious, you mean that you do not consider it to be completely honest, safe, or reliable. Kiera's life had taken a turn for the worst. When a new law is passed in her town, allowing anyone to kill another without a punishment, Kiera feels obliged rebel against the law, as she knows how it feels to loose someone close to her herself. During this time she befriends Emmett, the new boy, who helps her protest against the law, whilst feeding his own passion of mystery solving, by helping Kiera uphold her promise to her parents.
