This is a collaboration piece between me and Tupac Shakur. Tupac is my favorite rapper of all time. I thought it would be really cool if I Took some lyrics from one of his songs, and meshed them into my poem with my own words. In the poem we go back to back as if we were actually on the song together, or writing together. The song that chose his lyrics from is, letter to my unborn child... What do you do when you are the strong one, but you need someone to lean on? I wrote this poem feeling that I, sometimes give people joy, and hope in my poems. Life's journey has no set way of happening, you cannot predict what situations that you will run across in life. There are over a billion people on this earth, all from different walks a life. I know what it is like to feel lost and hopeless. I sometimes pushed away good people in my life because I felt so alone and misunderstood. I felt that no one in the world could possibly understand me. But one day I finally realized that I did not understand myself. Sometimes we have to take a deep look into the mirror and realize that the person that we see looking back, is often time the problem that is holding us back.
