That child turned out to be Malleus Draconia, and Mizuki also finds that she's in a forest in Briar Valley! She meets Lilia and Malleus's grandmother who was kind enough to let her stay there. After a week or so, Malleus's grandmother lets her stay as long and she wanted allowing Mizuki to grow up with Malleus. The prologue timeline is when Malleus is 5-7 yrs old in fae age, so after the war with the humans. The timeline after the prologue is the entrance ceremony at the start of the game. Mizuki and Malleus are engaged after Malleficia's command because they fell for each other as they grew up.
