"So, you like music too?"
---
Celeste Reyes, the daughter of a lawyer and a neurologist, hated studying. Yes, she always had top-notch academic results, but she never felt like it was an achievement.
She loved music. She loved the sound the strings of a guitar make when you slightly pluck them and the harmony the strings make when you strum them slowly.
She loved singing. She found it fascinating that mesmerising tunes can be produced with just her mouth.
Her parents hated it, though. When Celeste pleaded to attend Cadence Music High School when she was 12, her parents snapped at her. "Music will never make you successful. Be a doctor, lawyer, banker, whatever. Just not a musician ," they said. And she was banned from doing music.
Celeste's passion for music became something only she, herself, could understand. Until Alex Mason came along and became her favourite melody.
