twenty-two year old, courtney satella, law school in two years, harvard graduate is organised. she stays in, she studies and her life is planned out. until one spontaneous night, she has her first one night stand. a mistake, really. a drunk one. with a 'mistakey' guy. duncan tarun is a former-criminal, ex-convict with way too many problems he has deal with. they sleep together. you get the memo. it's simple. never see each other again. got it. until duncan inevitably gets himself into trouble, and gets assigned a lawyer. i feel like you can see where this is going...

When rebellious Duncan Tarun moves in next door to type-A Courtney Satella, she feels as if its a gift sent directly from hell. He's rude, annoying and totally rebellious- the opposite of her. But when she is forced to live window-to-window with him, he doesn't exactly like it either. The two teens propose a bet. Courtney cannot be proven wrong. But neither can he.

He was nothing like her; disobeying authority, careless, reckless and she was nothing like him; guileless, authoritative, and empathetic. Eventually the two develop a powerful and inspirational relationship in which they discover truths that take most people a lifetime to learn. But only time will tell.
