Roper is a Dúnedan - a Ranger. As a child he was brought up in the Bree-Land, but after the kidnapping of his brother, Gandalf took him away to join his kin in the protection of West: a solemn calling laid upon the descendants of Isildur. From the troubled boarders of the Shire to the growing darkness of Mirkwood, He must learn what it means to be a Ranger - to face hardship and toil and love for the protection of Middle Earth. While there are well-known characters including Gandalf, Legolas, Tom Bombadil and Golberry, and Elladan and Elrohir, Roper is a completely original character as is Lorellin - a daughter of the Dúnedain whom he works beside - and I am not following any part of LotR or The Hobbit, as this story takes place years before. Tirannûnmir, the Elves call me. Wolf is what the Bree folk call me. However, the name my father gave me is Meltir and I am Aragorn's Companion. Meltir is of the Dunéhuain, "Hounds of Westernesse" in the common tongue. Similar to the Beornings but gifted with a slightly deeper understanding of magic by the Valar and to take the form of large wolf-like hounds. Her father's race came with the Numenoreans across the waters and eventually sworn an oath to protect the line of Kings. Many of them died in the war against Morgoth and even more in the first war against Sauron doing their duty alongside their Dunédain companions. Meltir's ancestor died avenging Isildur by killing the orcs that had shot his companion. And so, the Dunahuan was bound to protect the last heir with her life and restore him to his rightful place from the moment he was born. When Arathorn and Belamrûn fell, Elladon and Elrohir took Gilraen, her son, and Meltir to the Last Homely House of Lord Elrond, who fostered the two children, naming them "Estel" and "Tirannûnmir". Aldith is a young Ranger who fears nothing. But when she finds an army of Orcs, she worries for the survival of her people. She quickly retreats to warn her brother Haldin, the Captain of the Rangers, of the coming war. Although she finds him, they are quickly surrounded and she received a deadly wound in the process. After her recovery her brother leaves to join another battle with the Orcs. She secretly joins the group. Upon their return they discover something and Aldith has a vision of whatever passed through their land. Are the forces of Mordor arising? (Cover by @SineadRobyn)

Second installment in the Fëanoriel Chronicles. 35 years after the War of the Ring, the children of the heroes must go on their own quest to save Middle Earth yet again, but this time it's from one of their own. Follow the children of Miril (OC- the Other Ranger) and Elrohir, Aragorn and Arwen, Eowyn and Faramir, and Eomer and Lothiriel as they journey from Rohan and Gondor back to the North where dark forces are gathering for a new assault. Cousins and friends unite as they travel through a different Middle Earth now that the rings are gone. And no one comes out unscathed.
