A stubborn and selfish thief teams up with a friendly yet foolish bard on his journey to find a fabled city with riches unimaginable. Along the way, they meet the heir to the throne, an elven individual who wishes to repair the political bonds their tyrant father broke between the other kingdoms, as well as fight a strange sickness.
