Fili and Kili are two dwarf brothers who join their uncle, Thorin, on a quest to reclaim the dwarven kingdom of Erebor. They are the youngest of the company and the least experienced. They are also two of the three who fall in the Battle of the Five Armies. SPOILER ALERT! But before all of this, they had a life in the Blue Mountains. They were brought up by their mother, Dis, sister to Thorin. Fili, for 83 years of his life grew up with the tales of the greatest kingdom of middle-earth, and Kili, for 78 years. One night in the Blue Mountains, Kíli and Fíli are on watch duty (though in fact it's a joke played upon them by another dwarf) when they meet a female dwarf who is, in fact, not really a dwarf, but instead, her father was a cousin of Balin and Dwalin and her mother, a short woman from Esgaroth/Lake-Town.
