Written back in May of 2021 (following Ep. 8 of Everbyte's Duskwood), but just publishing now (May of 2022) in anticipation of Ep. 10 -- and hopefully to help others manage the wait:). Synopsis: When Jake learns that MC has been taken by MWAF, his reaction is raw and unbridled. Lilly helps pull him back. *Trigger warning: Describes a panic attack.*

This is a Jake and Mc oneshot. where Mc does a hickey prank on Jake but it doesn't go as planned.

Jake was clear about what he had to do if things got bad. He wanted to prepare everything. For her. For him. To stop hiding the truth from him. The bad thing would be going back to the place where they kicked you out, but that wasn't going to stop him from being able to keep MC safe. ⚠️ Events that occurred in episodes 4 and 5. This story was written before the last chapter. The chat writing is from the game, if the translation is not correct, is because the original translation is from the Spanish version. Its been five years since everything happened in Duskwood. She's living in Colville for three years now with her best friend Jessy. She had different plans when she moved out here but she learned a dirty little secret that broke her heart. He wasn't the man she thought he was, or was he? She's still close to his mother which is where she sees him again for the first time in three years. She looks at him and remembers her heart break but deep down she's still in love with him. Is this the end for them? Will they be able to rekindle the love and trust they once had? Or will her mind win over and she walks away for good from the man she's loved for five years?

Infiltrator MC and Jake are working on a case for a client, but have reached a stalemate. The CEO of a major corporation is corrupt and they know it, but they just can't find the evidence they need to take him down as none of it is stored digitally. While Jake works on finding a solution, MC decides to try a more basic approach to get the physical evidence they need. Send in the Clowns MC and Jake are yet again stumped by a hard to reach target, but thankfully his son is having a large birthday party with all his friends from school and he requested clowns. This time, MC will have to call upon the help of others to get the job done.

After Hannah and Richy were rescued, Jake managed to sign a deal with the FBI that erased his past activities, removing his wanted status. Jake is now a free man, but he quickly realized that "nothing can hold you back more than your own insecurities". Short story between Bea and Jake. All characters are based on the Duskwood mobile game. Bea is Duskwood MC's name.

The story continues after (YN) receives the video from Jake who told her about half of his identity to consider. After learning the truth, she started working with Lilly to find Hannah and help to cover and mislead the government to the possible whereabouts of Jake using the movement Lilly made. In additional, (YN) will discover more than about this case, not just about Hannah but the crimes of the past where she encountered years ago. However, the connection about Jake and (YN) to each other; will they give each other the chance despite the danger they will face and the fact that they are a totally different in terms of their identity? Are their connection is just about the sake of this case and will separate after or they will plan something for themselves? They cannot risk at this moment, but they cannot even stop how they feel for each other. They exchange the compliment of fascination yet one side is denial. If one keeps on denying, it will open an opportunity to someone who developed a real care for (YN).
