One day they stumble upon a new girl who had just moved into the neighborhood. They decide to have a bet on who can make the girl fall in love with them but some of them might actually be falling for her. The bet could be tearing their friend group apart. In the karate kid universe, Michelle Maia is a new kid in the neighborhood who befriends Ali, Susan, and Barbara. With only her and her mom being a rich doctor who moves them to Encino Hills, life surprisingly hasn't changed drastically and horribly, but maybe this is the sign of a new beginning. She spots the friend group of Johnny and the cobras. She instantly falls in love with Bobby. Jimmy, one of the cobras, is closer to Bobby than most of the others, in doing so, he becomes friends with Michelle and in hopes to help her. But there might be something more than just helping Michelle get with her crush. Eventually Michelle and her friend group mash with the Cobra Kai boys and are all dating each other. Due to Michelle's shyness, overthinking and awkwardness, she requires help if she ever plans on getting with her true love. 2 years later a new kid moves to California from New Jersey that sparks things up between him and the Cobra Kais. ⚠️TW some swearing i guess⚠️

Johnny Lawrence thought he had found true love once, but she dumped him. Then he tried again and got dumped for a second time. Everyone leaves him, like his Dad. Is he so terrible that he's unlovable? Maybe things happen the way they need to for a reason. Love will come, if only she can hold him now.

In the time of karate kings, California sun, and Senior year of '84 one girl wins the heart of the best boy in the whole school... Bobby Brown. Sometimes it's a group effort where two shy friends are concerned. With the backdrop of Karate Kid, follow Mary Margaret Grainger and see how she handles life at West Valley High. This story will mainly follow the boys of Cobra Kai. Big story events will stay the same as in the movie, but Daniel is not the central focus. He's still there, of course, but more of a minor background character. Same with Alli. Also each song chosen, at the beginning of the chapter, relates to the chapter somehow. It's either by mood or the song used somehow in the chapter itself. The songs chosen are from the 80s, or the late 70s (as these characters would've grown up with 70s music).
