Yellowstone follows the Dutton family, led by John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. The ranch is under constant attack by those it borders-land developers, an Indian reservation, and United States of America's first national park.

"Who is that?" Malcom Beck said as he stared at the young woman who was feeding the horses. "I'm gonna tell you something right now, That girl is none of your concern. I will gladly protect her with my life. So I suggest you stay clear of her or I'll rip you limb from limb" Rip explained to the Beck brothers before storming away from them.
