Follow the main character in revealing the truths about the faceless and discovering themself with the help of their newfound friendships. There will be fluff and comfort sprinkled in. I plan on reworking this story completely. So I've taken down the chapters I published so far and will outline the story and hopefully rewrite it.

Their intense stares sent chills throughout my body.' --------- Alexandra Leighwood belongs to a society with a slogan that says it all- "No decisions equals no power, no fighting, no problem." With a fair amount of brainwashing and an ever-present fear of the consequences that come from rebelling, most people bow down to the system, allowing themselves to be utterly controlled and manipulated. But 17-year-old Alexandra, or Alex, is just plain different. Her strong will and determination is exactly what the Administrators DON'T want. Seen as qualities posing a dire threat to society, Alex is in great danger. Will her refusal to give in be her greatest strength, or her greatest weakness? ---------- TRIGGER WARNING: There is a scene where, in the main character's dream, a character is cutting her wrist. Also there are a couple violent scenes (but they're not gory and not that bad). In addition, Alex is required to undress and shower in front of others. But that's about it!

So this is completely unfinished but it's the first part of something I started ages ago. I'm pretty sure it's heavily inspired by 1984. I don't remember where I was going with it but I wanna try and continue. The scene takes place in a the courtroom of a dystopian society and we meet the first character, Mr Trowler, who is on trial but we don't know what for. We also discover that the government have now gained the ability to read people's thoughts.

For Tara Moore, the selection process is a milestone that has been looming over her for as long she can remember. If choosing which sector to reside in for the remainder of her life as well as permanently deciding her sexuality all at the ripe age of eighteen didn't seem difficult enough, her parents' biased opinions as well as society's constant pressures and social hierarchies can only make it harder. When Tara realizes that her swayed decision in order to please her parents is in fact the wrong one, will love preside? This thrilling page turner is a testament to everyone struggling with the decision to be themselves being outweighed by the need to please others. When what the heart wants is smothered by what is expected of it, can it breakthrough?
