It's just a normal day in the Ealdor when Hunith sends her only son Merlin on a trip to Camelot. There her friend Gaius will be able to guide him and help him find a purpose for his magic, she thinks. But Merlin never gets as far on his journey. On his way he meets the druids and when he finds out they got magic like him, he feels more at home than ever and decides to stay. How will this change the fate of Camelot? And how strong is the pull of destiny when Arthur is sent on a mission that causes the two sides of the same coin to cross paths?

This is a modern AU of Merlin. If you ever wanted to know what Merlin and Arthur would be like at high school, this is the fic to read.

Merlin never went to Camelot instead he stayed in Ealdor. One day King Arthur comes to seek out sorcerers but one thing the village will not give their sorcerer up to some any good king. Can Merlin keep his secret hidden or will Arthur take him? (Lancelot, Gwain And will are all still alive)

After King Arthur discovers that his sister had been consorting Mordred, he sentences her to death. Percival and the other Knights free her from the prison cells and take her to Ealdor. Will the Princess and the Knight return each other's feelings, or will they be forgotten? And so it will be for the young warlock arriving at the gates of Camelot. One that will, in time, continue the legend. Her name: Merlyn. When King Arthur died Merlin had no idea where to start, but he was determined to find a solution for in his mind Arthur wasn't dead. He couldn't be dead. That was when he came to an idea of descendants so let's see what happens when the descendants meet. Will the different circumstances affect the outcome or will history repeat itself?

This story takes place ten years after the death of Arthur Pendragon. At first, Merlin thought it impossible to return to Camelot without Arthur so he wandered, growing stronger as the days continue. After four long years, he made the decision to save a couple Camelot Knights and returned with them to Camelot where Queen Guinevere ruled in Arthur's place. The memories of his past still haunt him as he is welcomed warmly by the Queen along with her first born son, Asher Pendragon. With Merlin back to help Asher grow into the man he is to become, having to protect Arthur's legacy from people who wish harm to come to the remaining Pendragons. Will he be able to escape his past? Or will Merlin face the consequences of his actions by endangering all of Camelot? Unfortunately, it is not a Merthur story but it's a continuation of the show, starting after Arthur's death. I was unhappy at how the show ended and decided to give it an ending that it so much deserves. Hopefully I can make it as good as the show but that's only a wish. Anyways, hope y'all enjoy the story!

Taking her under his wing, he becomes a father figure to her as Gaius was to him and a strong bond soon grows between the two. Meanwhile, Arthur is regretting banishing Merlin and is lost without his best friend or a way to make things right again. That's until a young girl rides into Camelot, bruised, broken and desperately seeking help for her village and Dad. Maybe Arthur has a chance to apologise and regain a man who is like a brother to him...
