When we desire 'something' or 'someone', all the universe will conspire to make us realize our 'dreams'. How hypocrite I am for letting my 'dreams' to manipulate my feeling. Or, it is just my dreams that is making me realize what I really feel? Mockery. That is what I got for challenging a relationship that is so established. Ironically, it is my own relationship that I am challenging. Relationship with someone who is always there for me, someone who is willing to give up everything just only to be with me. Am I really stupid enough to give up a relationship that everyone thinks will end up into marriage? For whom? For someone that I am not even sure if he remembers my own existance.

What happens when you reach the age when you're supposedly meant to know who you are, only to discover that you've never felt more lost? Sometimes I Don't Know Who I Am was born from the need to put into words the doubts, fears, and contradictions that so many people experience as they enter adulthood. We grow up believing that, if we try hard enough, there will eventually come a moment when everything falls into place: we'll find our path, know exactly who we are, and the future will stop being frightening. But reality is rarely that simple. Throughout these pages, I talk about the pressure to have your life figured out too soon, the weight of expectations, the relationship we have with our own bodies, the loneliness we can feel even when surrounded by people, the fear of making mistakes, the feeling that we're falling behind, and the difficulty of building a life that truly feels like our own. I didn't write this book to offer answers or to tell anyone how they should live. I wrote it because I believe there are questions worth sharing. Because sometimes, discovering that someone else feels the same way makes the weight a little easier to carry. This is not a book about having all the answers. It is a book for those who have ever felt one step behind, who don't know exactly who they are or where they're going, but who still have the courage to keep searching. Because perhaps growing up isn't about finding yourself once and for all, but about learning to discover yourself again and again. "A veces no sé quién soy" - English version.

At twenty-two, Tedi Pratama arrives in Jakarta for his first office job with a quiet belief that nothing in life is meant to last too long. Friends come easily. Conversations stay light. Leaving has always felt simpler than staying. The city suits him. It moves fast, offers opportunity, and does not ask questions. People pass through each other's lives every day, leaving behind little more than impressions. Tedi learns quickly how to be part of that movement without letting anything hold him in place. A routine work assignment brings him into repeated contact with Alya Cassandra, a research assistant who lives by clarity, structure, and presence. Alya does not demand intensity or promises. She values consistency, attention, and the decision to remain. What begins as a professional interaction grows quietly through shared routines and ordinary days, without urgency or spectacle. But Tedi has a habit of turning people into memories instead of choices. He records moments instead of committing to them, believing time will eventually explain what he avoids deciding. Alya notices the pattern before he does. In a city where everyone is always moving forward, Footprints asks a simple question. Are the people we meet meant to pass through our lives, or are some meant to leave marks that change the direction we walk? This is a quiet emotional drama about first jobs, early adulthood, and the unseen cost of indecision. It is about the many people who come and go, and the one person who makes staying feel like a choice worth making.
