Avery is finishing her last two years of high school at a French school in Kyiv, Ukraine. She starts to meet friends and get feelings for a girl, but everything changes one day when something...something unexpected happened. New chapter every Monday and Thursday morning. "I get off the plane and walk into Boryspil International Airport. My short dark brown hair doesn't go past my bottom of my head. I'm wearing a thicker dark grey hoodie, a shirt from one of my favorite artists, and some normal blue jeans. My shoes are black with white on the bottom and the laces are white." 1989. In Warsaw, amidst packing cartons and fading memories, a family prepares to leave everything behind for a distant promise in Berlin. What all can happen in just one night... Perun Hammerfist is a flashy gangster with a reputation for elegance -- and brutality - to uphold. While murdering off a debtor, he accidentally drowns in the river that flows through Prague, beginning a nightmarish journey that not only forces him to confront his long repressed past and thrusts him back into the arms of his dead love, but also reveals the too-close-for-comfort connection to his personal nemesis: Veleček, the elderly gangster who runs the old part of town. Set in an alternate 1937, The Vyšehrad Drowned incorporates various figures from Slavic mythology in an atmospheric noir Dieselpunk setting. (Dieselpunk = retro sci-fi set between 1910 and 1950)

This book will include different languages, however that will not change how the story flows and you don't need to be able to understand the language to be able to enjoy this book. Now, onto the preview: -♥- Morissa ran through the forest as fast as she could. Unlike the rest of the girls, she ran towards the origin of the loud boom; she was always a curious girl since she was young. Morissa skidded to a halt when the forest abruptly ended. The forest ended? That's impossible! Morissa was baffled as she breathed heavily, but what struck her as even more odd than the fact that the forest ended was the strange animal in front of her. It had a silky white coat. She wanted to touch it. So badly. Morissa looked at the ground, the color white reflected back at her. It looked solid, but she was unsure....

Został i w mieście i zarazem, w sobie. „Mróz" to horror psychologiczny, łączący intymność z obłędem.

All Matthew Winters ever wanted was to get away from his mother and have a normal life. He didn't wish for a lot of friends or a high paid job, just a simple one that could get him though life. His decision of going across the ocean to his father's homeland seemed like a splendid idea at first - no one would ever bother to even think he might've gone there. It wasn't until it got so complicated that his mind regretted and his heart gave in, that he came to the realization how much of a poor choice he had made.

In the documentary I am crafting, I intend to illuminate the multifaceted mental, emotional, and physical experiences of Asian workers navigating life in a foreign land, particularly within the context of Poland. Drawing upon my personal experiences and those of my fellow Asian colleagues, this documentary aims to serve as a poignant exploration of resilience and adaptation, offering both inspiration and a sense of solidarity to Asian workers who find themselves grappling with the challenges of living and working far from home. This analysis will delve into various dimensions of the Asian experience, highlighting the profound adjustments necessitated by cultural and environmental shifts in areas such as food, daily routines, behavioral adaptations, and, most notably, the formidable language barrier that often stands in the way of effective communication and social integration. In the Polish workplace, where English is not universally spoken, the isolation engendered by linguistic differences can exacerbate feelings of stress, frustration, and depression-emotions that are compounded by broader familial issues and the pressures of factory work. The research conducted by the American Psychological Association has documented common struggles faced by foreign workers; however, the specific context of Eastern Europe, and particularly Poland, presents unique challenges that merit closer examination. The path to adjustment can be prolonged and fraught with difficulties as new arrivals attempt to familiarize themselves with the Polish language and culture.
