As for me, I see something I hope I would have never seen and my heart falls to my stomach as my chest begins to tighten. I grab her arm. As soon as I do that she lets out a pained squeal and I just know my suspicions are right. "Amber..." she whispers, looking at me pleadingly, begging me with her eyes not to say or do anything irrational. Slowly, I turn her arm over so her palm is facing upwards and lying there like an unwanted stench on her wrist, is the purple and blue shape of a hand. At that moment my heart shatters into a million pieces for my best friend stood helplessly in front of me.
