When he gets assigned to a mission to "help" the Chiss colony, he meets Thrawn. He recognizes him instantly. He knows where Hunter's son has been now, and can call Hunter out on his affair.

A story that takes place in the Green Mountain State. Hockey runs deep in New England and Vermont is no exception.
