This is a heartfelt journey through childhood, marked by cherished memories, painful goodbyes, and the quiet strength found in struggle. The story begins in the warmth of Christmas holidays spent in the village, surrounded by cousins, aunties, and uncles-days filled with joy, laughter, and connection. But as the new year arrives, everything shifts. The family leaves behind the comfort of village life and moves to the city, stepping into a harsher reality. City life brings challenges-financial hardship, emotional strain, and the fight to survive. Yet, through resilience and unity, the family slowly begins to rebuild. They adapt, they grow, and eventually, they find a new sense of stability. What starts as a story of loss and difficulty becomes one of strength, transformation, and hope.

A team of monster hunters take on an unusual commission. But who exactly are the monsters in the situation? An Echoes of Home side story submitted in four parts to the weekly short story competition run by @Struggo.

These are my entries for the FFXIV Write 2024 challenge. They're side stories based on Echoes of Home. Some may be more canon than others. FFXIV Write is an annual one-word prompt-a-day challenge for the FFXIV fanfic community. The regular host for this is taking 2025 off to be with her newborn, so other groups are sponsoring their own. This collection follows the prompt set from the FFXIV Swap discord server. The stories are based on my main work, Echoes of Home. They may or may not be canon in the long run.

A man from Earth finds his way to a game world, full of magic, monsters and battle, and finds his way out again, bringing his native miqo'te bride with him. But you can't go to a game world and come back unchanged. Earth is no longer his home, and it was never hers. A serialized story based on the online game Final Fantasy XIV, told in journal entries reflecting each of the characters' points of view. Set in modern-day Oklahoma, it's the story of a married couple -- artisans, explorers, wielders of weapons and magic -- together facing a world that has no idea what they are and what they're capable of. (Knowledge of FFXIV and online roleplaying games in general is useful but not required to enjoy the story.) "We are storytellers.
