Eclectic Stories

These are short stories, flash and microfictions, most less than 500 words, the longest about 1500 words. Short, funny, and sometimes fun. Sometimes pointed and sometimes pointless. These stories have been described as eclectic, quirky, and sometimes sad. Take a handful to go.

A series of eclectic stories across a strange universe where all magic finds its roots, the gods are present, and societies of odd creatures flourish in the strangest of environments. Welcome to the world of GATEWAYS, my brain-child universe that has been floating around in my head for over a decade. This is less of a linear plot-focused story and more of an exploration of the many corners of this strange world. It may make no sense. It may make too much sense. Who knows. The Ballad of a Young Girl's Heart is a book of poetry that tell's the heart and soul of not only a young girl but all women. Not only does it relate to women but it can also relate to men. It is an eclectic collection of poetry to nurture the heart and soul.

Short. Short. Short. This booklet is aiming to be a compilation of flash fiction stories that will hopefully evoke different feelings and allure to different emotions in the hearts of readers. The combination of those emotions will then make up a whole new heart - just like the monster from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, who is made up of body parts from different people. Note from the writer: As a wordy writer, this project is a challenge I'm taking on to help me write with less words and more meaning. A story for every star in the sky. Life is like water, lives are like stars. Water continues flowing- down bends, through valleys, down hills, before eventually ending at the ocean. Stars all glow in the same sky, some burned already, but their glow and light still being seen from far away.
