One small pill, no big deal

A short story that I created in school. It may be the best short story, I've created.

Sophie is just a regular girl with a different outlook on life. She lived in a small town and was happy until she reconnected with one of her old friends Jayden. She realized how much Jayden had changed when they went to a party together. I can't say to much without spoiling the story but read until the end I wrote this short story for an ELA assignment so I probably won't edit or add to it.

Sometimes, life presents us with trials for which we were never and never will be prepared. But to become who we are meant to be, we must endure them, at whatever cost.

''You are the drug I was craving for'', his husky voice echoed the room. I stumbled backwards, with heart racing at a devastating speed and my chest pounding out of fear-his fear. He inched closer, close enough that I could breathe his air, a mixture of alcohol and smoke. Recklessly, his tough hand reached for my neck, his eyes droopy with lust. Giving chances are part of love.. But can this girl who love this guy so much, be able to give so much chances when in the end, she'll realize that everything will become just an illusion to her love-madness?? Will she be okay after?? Or give another chance to this one, pathetic guy, who ever did was to break her heart??

A story of me. My need for a certain something to keep me sane and happy. Without it I could feel myself either away, but with it I did too. With it, I felt brilliant and alive. I felt as if I could do anything. Deep down I wanted to break out from it's artificial curse, but I couldn't. Did I?
