NOTE: This is the version of the story being redone. Khenan Ambers was always regarded as a weird child throughout his school life. Weren't all the kids strange though? Despite the number of weird kids in his current grade, Khenan was a bit next level and nobody would hang out with him because of that. Speaking of trouble, Khenan beat up his bully for getting his Walkman broken. But of course, the person getting bullied has to get punished rather than the bully themselves. Luz is also called up to the office for her shared book report with Khenan, which caused a certain amount of chaos. Next, they're both in a magical world that most likely differs from the summer camp they were sent to. Khenan navigates through that world on a journey of peril, trust, romance, and longing.
