When the portal to another dimension continues to grow inside Hawkins National Laboratory, Dr. Brenner decides to send Number Five through for recon. The only other child that survived the massacre besides Eleven, Five's psychokinetic abilities aren't what the Lab hoped for. The talent they have listed in her (very short) record is the manipulation of electricity, a rather destructive ability that cost a fortune to manage anyway. They send her through the portal, cutting the loss when the harness they put her in comes back empty and covered in blood. But Five isn't dead. She saw an opportunity to break free and she took it. Out of the Lab's reach and no longer inhibited by sedatives and Soteria, Five's impressive electrokinesis and killer instincts will flourish when she lands in the care of Good People following her chance encounter with a young boy trapped in the Upside Down.
