After seven years living in V's body, some things have changed within our friend Johnny Silverhand. He currently lives in a cycle of destruction. But a shadow from the past resurfaces to break this cycle, forcing him to make a choice while giving himself a second chance. This story takes place 7 years after the events of the game, and I use as a starting point one of the endings of the base game (the ending known as "Temperance", where V leaves her body for Johnny Silverhand). In the story, I used a female version of V. This is a fanfic about the Cyberpunk universe and lore, in this case, more specifically, the universe of the game "Cyberpunk 2077".

Night City the so called paradise. Nikita an 18 year old girl who goes to Arasaka Academy or at least used too. Her dad dies from a horrible incident which causes her to go off the rails and do things she never even thought of doing. David Martinez was supposed to die at Arasaka Tower. That was how the story was meant to end. A boy running too fast, carrying too much chrome, burning himself alive for a city that devours everyone in the end. But this time, he stopped. He walked away from the Cyberskeleton before it could consume what little remained of him, choosing Lucy over becoming a legend. Together with Lucy, Rebecca, and Falco, he escapes Night City alive - something almost nobody ever gets to do. Yet survival comes with its own scars. Far away from the neon lights and endless violence of Night City, the crew struggles to adjust to a life without gunfire, contracts, or the constant fear of dying tomorrow. David is haunted by nightmares, phantom cyberware, and the ghosts of everyone he failed to save. Lucy lives in quiet terror that one day he'll disappear from her arms just like everyone else did. Rebecca fights against the unbearable silence of peace, while Falco tries to guide them through a world none of them were built for. Because in Night City, even if you escape the city... the city never fully leaves you. An alternate ending / post-canon continuation of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners focused on survival, trauma, healing, and learning how to live after the fight is over.
