This fanfiction takes place separately from my already established DC fanfictions. This is a limited fanfiction that takes place within the 6 months between S5E11 and Oswald and Edward's incarceration. This fanfiction takes place just after Bane was defeated and the militia were run out of Gotham. After Oswald and Edward made their little pact to work together rather than fight against each other they hugged to seal the deal, both Edward and Oswald wanted to kill the other holding out a knife to stab the other in the back but as they both held each other close feeling the warmth from each other. For the first time ever they both felt safe in a way that was undescribable. Oswald decided not to kill Edward because he hoped that Edward's willingness to be so close to him physically was hope that he would come to trust him with time. Edward however put down his knife and held Oswald close because he knew if he killed Oswald then this warm loving embrace would end and he would be alone again. He couldn't ever fathom why he felt safe with Oswald but he did and he desperately didn't want this feeling to end.
