Leda, a young woman who moved to Japan to escape her abusive family, is slowly adjusting to her new life. She's learning Japanese, making friends, and enjoying the summer festivals. On the day of the famous Tanabata festival, she finds a small shrine - but when she steps out of the shrine, she steps into Edo Era Japan. Trapped 400 years in Japan's past, what follows is half fantasy, half historical fiction. Is her coming here an accident? Or does it have something to do with the sudden appearance of European ships off the coast? Leda must discover how she ended up in this situation, and how she can get back home - or if she even wants to go back.

Short of breath, I watched the Vice Commander's shoulders sway as he panted. His eyes, though, didn't falter; dark and commanding despite the blood splattered over his purple hakamashita. In this moment, as dark tresses stuck to his face, He eyed me with as much surprise as I did him. Frances' new mission lands her in 1867, Japan, and it's not a walk in the park.

This is an original story set in the late Edo Period with some fantasy and supernatural elements added. Since the dawn of time, a war has raged between those who fight for the dark and those who defend the light. Born in the year of the ominous Fire Horse but on the hour of the highly revered and vigorous Dragon, regardless of what others say about her birth, Houki has inherited her ancestor's vision as well as his great samurai spirit. However, times are changing, as the era of warriors is drawing to an end. The shogunate that has been a tall, sturdy tree for more than two hundred years, is slowly beginning to rot upon being challenged by the imperial court and several domains who were derided under shogunal rule. Amidst the turbulent times, one group remained true to the old ways and risked their lives to preserve the traditional shogunate system. Fighting as brothers-in-arms, the Shinsengumi upheld the code of honor of the samurai. Old clashed with the new as the age of turmoil is set into motion, but in the darkness lurks much more than political unrest-something much darker... The Tokugawa princess fights to protect the legacy that has been passed down to her, protect her family from the possibility of cessation in the hands of their enemies, and end what no one else can. Highest Rank: #90 in FANTASY (on 24.11.2017) Omg In the past, long ago, there was a time when, humans, hanyous and youkais lived together happily. There were no disputes, no discrimination, nothing. Everything was peaceful, everyone lived in a community of happiness. But as the years passed, wars of succession started taking place. The Demons felt that they were more powerful than the poor inter-breeds (hanyous), and that they had the power to rule over the humans. Things changed. There were always wars between youkais, hanyous and humans like mikos (priestess) and monks (priest) who were destined to protect the humans and hanyous from the powerful wrath of the demons. Years go by, Modern era comes. The demons and half-demons still live (disguised as humans). The pride & discrimination still remains.....But still, happiness and peace among all races can be found if one tries their best to find it. Friendship still remains. Love can overcome anything.
