Olivia Splint ma szesnaście lat i od urodzenia żyje z hipermobilnym zespołem Ehlersa-Danlosa. Dla większości ludzi schody, szkolny korytarz czy zwykłe podniesienie kubka to codzienność. Dla niej każdy dzień oznacza ból, zmęczenie i świadomość, że jeden nieostrożny ruch może skończyć się zwichnięciem lub podwichnięciem stawu. Najtrudniejsze nie są jednak chore stawy - najtrudniejsze są współczujące spojrzenia, szepty za plecami, wyzwiska i ludzie, którzy nie wierzą, że niewidoczna niepełnosprawność istnieje naprawdę. Między fizjoterapią, wizytami u lekarzy, szkolnymi problemami i próbami prowadzenia zwyczajnego życia Olivia powoli odkrywa, że nie musi wszystkiego dźwigać bez nikogo u boku.
