1860, India Gauri was expected to be quiet, obedient, and invisible. But beneath her composed exterior burned a fire that no tradition could contain. Married into an orthodox household, she learns to hide every thought behind a lowered gaze-until Ashutosh, the man shaped by the same customs, begins to notice the silence in her eyes. When their hands brush across a lamp's glow, something unspoken passes between them-too brief to name, too dangerous to repeat. Yet in that single heartbeat, the walls of the house seem to breathe. As shadows of duty tighten, and every glance carries the weight of consequence, Gauri's courage begins to awaken the man who once believed obedience was virtue. What begins as a flicker of understanding becomes a quiet storm neither can contain. Step into 1860, where honour and desire walk the same narrow path, and where one woman dares to let the light beneath her veil burn bright enough to be seen. ...... "Kya kaha tumne?" ("What did you just say?") His tone carried anger - but his eyes searched hers for something more. Gauri didn't flinch. There was something in her gaze tonight... courage, perhaps, or a trace of mischief that refused to bow. She drew a slow breath, the corner of her lips trembling. "Maine kaha, Ashut-" The name broke midway, swallowed by the silence between them. ---

When you read the details of these entries, you might find the precision unnerving. In this book, I will be discussing the observations I have made with Grimmel as well as my assumptions on his character. I find it necessary to share them in case one of you might require some information to write your stories or draw him accurately. I may deliver these chapters with confidence. If you feel the need to discover yourself, do not hesitate. I will not be discussing solely about Grimmel, but the general performance of our education. Some bonds are ritual, some are chosen. Theirs is both. History would remember movements. Leaders. Dates. Declarations. It would not remember the way she sat among women who had been taught to remain unseen. Or the way he held a room together when it threatened to fracture. It would not remember the nights they chose each other again, not out of duty, but out of something far more enduring. Because what they built was never meant only to be remembered. It was meant to continue. To live in people who would never know their names. To shape a country that would argue, struggle, break, and rebuild again and again. To exist in the quiet, persistent belief that change-real change-was never a single moment of triumph. It was a lifetime of choosing. And choosing again. A life. Lived fully. Given freely. Held together not by perfection- But by the unwavering decision to keep going.

Eleonora has always lived in the quiet corners of life-head buried in books, heart carefully guarded, and a future mapped out with one simple dream: to become a teacher and build a life far away from the echoes of his past. But lately, everything he thought he understood about himself has begun to shift. Feelings he can't ignore. Questions he can't outrun. A truth he's only just beginning to accept. And the last person he expects to be tangled up in it... is Alvaro. Alvaro is everything Eleonora isn't-reckless, magnetic, and impossible to ignore. The kind of boy who lives fast, breaks rules, and leaves a trail of trouble behind him. He's also the same boy who once made Eleonora's life miserable, turning school days into something to survive rather than enjoy. So when their lives collide again, older but not entirely changed, Eleonora knows better than to trust him. But Alvaro isn't the same boy he used to be... or maybe he is, just hiding something deeper beneath the smirk and sharp edges. What starts as lingering resentment and unresolved tension slowly twists into something neither of them can control-something raw, confusing, and dangerously close to love. Because sometimes the person who hurt you the most... is the one who sees you most clearly. And sometimes, the hardest lesson to learn- is letting yourself be loved.

A few philosophical essays I have written. Mostly about the meaning of life/morals, and stuff like that (just whatever I feel like writing, really). I won't update very often because I'm busy with other stuff, but I'm trying to read more books, so hopefully I will get more ideas/inspiration, and anyway, quality over quantity. Feel free to write your opinions in the comments! Keep in mind I'm only 15, so the grammar/pacing can feel off. Also, because most of this I wrote at like 2 am, and I hate reading over my work and editing it🥹 Anyways, I hope you enjoy!
