Stede Bonnet is a mermaid who longs to be a pirate. When the chance comes along for him to have legs, he jumps onboard. However, in order to keep them, he has to kill or seduce a pirate captain in two weeks. Easy, right? Title of this fic is a line from the song "Calypso" by John Denver.

My name is Elizabeth Teach. Temperance, as they like to call me. I am 14 years old and I live in Charles Town, South Carolina. 13 years ago, a man by the name of Edward Teach blockaded our harbor, capturing Charlestinians and demanding medicine in return. My Mother, Ophelia Tuscott was one of those. She tried to escape; only to be captured and brought to the Mr. Teach himself. It was love at first sight. One year later, she had me. People say that Blackbeard is a bad man that needs to be disposed of, and in a way, I feel guilty. My head would be off faster than I could say "stop" if they knew. One day, the world will know. One day, I will make history. Just wait on it.

A pest has been brought aboard on the Revenge. How will that be dealt with?

Ed comes home to the sound of shouting and yelling when he finds Stede fighting off a stranger and winning. Ed could never guess what the fight was over.

Stede Bonnet was a wealthy gentleman with a beautiful wife and healthy children, he could not want for more. Alas, his unhappy marriage left him hollow and yearning for a different life; one of adventure and thrill. One fateful morning he took his horse out and was never seen again. However, his sheltered lifestyle left him woefully without the wit he needed to survive and soon he found himself face to face with one of the most wanted and feared Cowboys- Edward Teach. (This is a cowboy AU spurred on by tiktok artists planting this worm in my brain. Don't know the exact artist but credit to them for the idea!)

Stede Bonnet has been trying to sell his hostage in the Rebublic of Pirates when he finds a bar and grill to eat at. Basically, Stede and Lucius stumble across a restaurant in which Izzy is a waiter and Ed is the head chef. A cute fluffy story to heal some hearts, with of course some comedy. Stede Bonnet is most certainly not the runaway son of an incredibly wealthy baron, who fled the very night he was to be wed to a Ms. Mary Allamby. Heavens no! He's a Lighthouse Keeper.
