But what many of his friends don't know is that he suffers from anxiety due to a crash that happened back when he first came to Sodor. There is only one freind he can trust with his anxiety with, and that friend is Edward. Out of all the engines, Edward is the only one who can help calm him of his anxiety (whether its an anxiety attack or just small little signs of anxiety,) because of his calm nature and just sweet personality. James the red engine has worked on the island of Sodor for many years. One day he and his crew waited in the dockyard sheds until the weather improved. To pass the time he and his crew came up with an idea to pass the time. This story takes place in Europe in early 1950s. Sodor was still recovering from the second World War. This story will see hidden feelings being uncovered, the strong bond between engines and their crew, engines overcomming prejudices and facing their fears along with many more surprises. But most if all, this story is about our favorite red engine making a new friend.

Edward is one of the oldest, most respected engines on Sodor. The other engines go to him to talk out their problems, but what happens if Edward has no one to talk to if he has a problem?

A What if Percy the Small Engine and Toby the Tram Engine were in the Adventure Begins before our number one engine arrived. Backstories are still the same. Since Edward, Henry, Gordon and James came to Sodor before Thomas did in the special or movie, this makes me think of what if Percy and Toby arrived on Sodor before Thomas did. New engines Percy and Toby try to get use their new lives on Sodor when a new engine was brought from the London Bridgeton South Coast Railway. Can Edward, Toby and Percy teach them how to be really useful?
