At first, the house appears normal-but soon, disturbing events begin to unfold, and somehow the boy always seems to be at the center of them. Meanwhile, Visha is pulled into Gotham's brutal criminal underworld, where danger lurks behind every deal and loyalty is always temporary. As the sisters remain in Gotham, the city itself grows increasingly hostile and unreal, as though it is watching them. What began as a search for their mother becomes something far darker. Is Gotham their undoing-or have they stumbled into something far older and more dangerous than they could have imagined?
