"Do you know what to do, Amunet?" A voice as sweet as silk whispered into the young girl's ear. Amunet didn't look over her shoulder, but shifted uncomfortably on her bare feet before nodding her head. A soft hand touched her back and urged her forward. All eyes turned towards the girl dressed in transparent linen with her dark hair tumbling down her back and her violet eyes lined by kohl. Every movement caused the jewels on her wrists and ankles to dangle and shimmer in the light. She raised her head and found the Pharaoh's transfixed stare. His jade eyes narrowed in on hers and the room became still and silent. Amunet bowed and, at the pluck of a harp string, began to dance. --- DISCLAIMER: this story is NOT historically accurate. It does not take place in any real time period and therefore there will be inaccuracies and areas that don't make sense in the context of "ancient Egypt." CONTENT WARNING: though this story is not explicit (sexual or otherwise), it does mention more mature themes that may be troubling to some readers, including but not limited to forced prostitution and miscarriage. cover by @Addietay

In the golden age of ancient Egypt, young Khufu is born into greatness - but shows none of it. While his father, the mighty Pharaoh Sneferu, rules millions and commands armies, Khufu spends his days obsessively trying to do the one thing everyone insists is impossible: stack four simple stones. Mocked by his father, exiled after a disastrous debut at court, and sent to a distant military camp to "find honor," Khufu struggles to leave his strange passion behind. Yet when war erupts and Egypt faces certain destruction, it is precisely this strange, stubborn obsession that reveals a new way of seeing the world - and a path no one else could imagine. From a misunderstood child to an unlikely hero, Khufu's journey is a tale of perspective, persistence, and the quiet genius hidden in the things we fail at again and again. Long before he built the greatest monuments on Earth, he learned the secret of stacking stones - and changed Egypt forever.

She grapples with obedience and defiance. With faith and secrets. She is the daughter of a crusader who will go down in history... infamously. But what of her? What of her escape from him and the journey that follows? A journey that will take her to her father's foe. The most powerful warrior and conqueror the lands have seen in many years. The Sultan who grants victory. Salah ad-Din Yusuf ibn Ayyub. ~ Assalaamu Alaykum This is a story that will try to adhere to being as halal as possible for the sake of authenticity and accuracy with the pertinent characters and their actions according to the context of the era and the religion. But while I am religious and all three main Abrahamic religions are part of my faith (in a sense I am ecumenical with all 3) I am therefore non-denominational so I don't practice Islam or the others in complete adherence to all tenets and rituals. So as a writer with passion for certain eras and historical figures, I take liberty in writing stories about them, with no intention to offend these people or anyone else, and I can't promise every little detail will be accurate or always halal (maybe sometimes there is haram intentionally because of certain characters personalities). Keep this in mind before reading. Graphic content warning: strong language, and blood and violence only

They think it'll help reveal Yami's past and just when the artifact's revealed, a stone tablet, Marik, a villain with a Millennium Item, crashes the party. They get sucked into the stone tablet and who knew it'd send them back in time to ancient Egypt? Yami quickly discovers his past and actually gets to live through it, while Marik is in the background seething with jealousy. Bakura, Yami's most trusted friend, is secretly out to get him and murder him to take the crown and rule Egypt. Marik is the only one who can stop him, but there will be many obstacles along the way. And did I mention that the only way to get back to the present is to obtain all the Millennium Items including the Millennium Spell Book which can destroy the world? No? Well there you have it. Will Marik be able to retrieve the Spell Book, save Yami, stop Bakura from getting the crown of Egypt, and get back to the present in one piece? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Special thanks to my friend SamanthaCream for role playing this book with me, it was so fun! Although I might screw up some parts because I don't remember what happened and what was said so... Yup. I do not own any of the YGO characters except for the ones I have made up. The characters my friends made, belong to them and have given me permission to write this story. This is my very first written book on Wattpad and I'm still currently working on it. This book is book one of four in my series called, of course, "Yu-Gi-Oh The Ancient World." I hope you guys enjoy it! :D

KAL-EL POV We stood over the destruction, over the saved and fallen, staring at and assessing each other. She wore what might be flatteringly acceptable for the climate, her white clothing pristine though she had just fought, the gold glimmering from an engraved belt around curved hips that reminded me of the one around my own. My eyes wandered to it, but I didn't want to seem...inappropriate. She looked like something out of a photo shoot, or a history book. Her eyes were amber in color, brown with a fire in them, her skin deeply sunkissed but not sunburned. By the time my eyes rose she was only inches from me, her hair falling about her shoulders because of the speed she used. She looked me over thoroughly, and I raised my chin and narrowed my eyes. Nothing but a small smile from her in response made me frown. "What is wrong, son of Jor-El?" her voice was soft but smooth. "You know who I am?" "Of course I do, it's right here--" She traced the "S" on my chest with a single finger and then trailed down to my belt and tapped it. "I'm sorry about your parents." She paused, touching my hair. "So, you are the last son of Krypton...and there is still no order here?" "Who are you?" "Can't read?" She asked, clucking her tongue as she put her hands on her hips. My eyes went down as she tapped her belt, but then I felt my cheeks flush. "Shame, Kal-El, shame." "What?" "Last son you may be, Kal-El, but I'm the last daughter." And she was gone in a flash of white and gold...quicker than the blink of an eye, a speeding bullet. Like me. NOTE: I am aware of the DC Comics version of Isis. I thought it was lacking. Here's my "what if" in the form of a revamp. I do not own the characters of DC. Of course, all characters are property of DC and Warner Brothers.
