STEPMONSTER is a middle grade comedy adventure for boys and girls age 8-12. Set in the perennially popular world of Egyptian curses and mummies, it falls somewhere between Bruce Hale, Gordon Korman and Goosebumps but with an oddball humor all its own. The short pitch: a congressman's 12 year-old son must help his father whose fiance, a beautiful Egyptian archaeologist, falls under an ancient curse.

The name is Aesir Rogers, Demigod extroardinaire, or more like a godling. My father is Poseidon and my mother is Egyptian, the Cat goddess Bastet. Anyways, this is about me and how I was pushed through a freaking portal into a different time and realm. I met stubborn Dwarves, a calm Hobbit, a wise Wizard, stuck up Elves and other people. My half-sister, Alexandria, shoved me through a portal to Middle Earth. Not knowing when I could go back home, so I guess I'm gonna have to get used to this realm. Eight months ago, an alien landed in front of the United Nations Headquarters in New York. As a result of the United Nations and other international organizations analyzing the messages of aliens with all their might, the contents were terrifying.

The gods of the ancient Mediterranean Sea, find themselves cornered when their predecessors return from the farthest depths of the underworld. Now cornered, the deities rely on the few remaining demi-gods to defend the world against its usurpers. I wrote this story back in 2012, when I was still in grade 10, with the intention of one day publishing it. However, with the release of the Percy Jackson series, my dreams of publishing this story shattered. My writing career then transitioned into a lot more writing and experiencing life, which means when I look back on this story, I look back on it with pride. Pride in the amount I have grown as a writer and as a person. So please love this story, for all its misguided morals, poor writing techniques, and littered mistakes because we all start somewhere.
