Dreading 18 is a coming-of-age teen drama about friendship, first love, fear of the future, and what happens when the girl who is afraid of becoming an adult has to finally start becoming herself.

They say turning eighteen doesn't change anyone's life in the end, but it sure as hell changed mine. But let me tell you a little secret: there ain't one thing I regret. Well, except for one, apparently. But we need to rewind a bit before I can explain the position it has put be in right now. - My dad used to say: "Ri, if you can't walk straight, you just have to pretend everyone else is crooked".

Three years have passed. I'm still trapped, imprisoned in a city which is slowly crumbling around my eyes. My family - if there's anything left of it - haven't seen or heard of me since its members fled. Every day of my life, if I can even bring myself to call it that anymore, I witness the few souls who still surround me dropping to the ground in a lake of pure crimson, dead, waiting for whatever remains of their lives to drain into the sewers. I wanted to fight at first. This was my city, my parents' city, the city of a thousand glorious parties and a million dreams, the city of lovers, the city I loved. I didn't want to see it crumble into its own ashes. Three long years ago, I would have done anything to stop that happening. Three years on, and I'm not so sure...

If you look up 'good girl' on google, you will definitely find cutout pictures of Layla Lacroix. No verbal definition, nothing but the epitome of the classic Ms. Goody Two Shoes staring back at you. That is until, tired of playing safe, she ends up with a familiar stranger at the police station after doing a dare to impress her crush. Some say Alexander Reed's been elected a gang leader upstate, others say he got some girl pregnant somewhere between juvie and the Caribbean, but to Layla, he's her ticket out of her ongoing 'resident prude' status. “i love her too much, but there is never too much” Hi. I don't know how to start this. I'm not good with these sort of things. Basically my name is rose, I'm 17 and I don't have long to live. I've got cancer and it's incurable so I'm left to live my last few months. My 18th birthday is in ten months though I don't know if I'll make it until then. I don't see what's the point in living these last months I may as well go now. But I met someone today, who has changed my mind completely.
