Thirteen-year-old Ginna's only connection to her long-dead mother is the dogwood in her backyard. The tree radiates a warm sort of buzz which might possibly be magic. Or is it a trick of her imagination? That's the agonizing question that earned her the label, "weirdo who talks to trees." And it's the reason Ginna is struggling with her plan to make one real friend. After an embarrassing attempt ends with Ginna kicking a soccer ball at a classmate's face, she retreats to the comfort of her tree-shaped companion to ask for help-and something strange happens. Ginna goes from mostly ignored to ridiculously popular overnight, and she's having conversations with someone or some thing inside her head. The source, an opinionated tree spirit named Dogwood, claims she accidentally stepped into Ginna's body. But now that the spirit has access to Ginna's thoughts and memories, she's in no hurry to go back where she belongs. Until Ginna figures out that Dogwood is hiding information about her mom. Now it's Ginna who doesn't want to let go. She has so many questions-but there's no time to wait for the stubborn spirit to answer. Ginna's body is becoming dangerously depleted and can no longer sustain Dogwood's energy. She'll have to find the courage to stand on her own before possession burnout destroys them both.

The cancer is back. And with those words, Frankie's whole world falls apart. She's halfway through eighth grade and now her parents have decided, without asking, to move four hours away so she can receive some experimental treatment. But when she arrives and realizes that no one at her new school knows anything about her, she decides to leave "sick girl" behind and start fresh with a list of all of the amazing things she will accomplish before graduation... as long as cancer doesn't get in the way. **Aiming to post a chapter a week, fingers crossed.

A fourteen paged Hero's Journey story that I made a 100% on in eighth grade. I think I may remake this story, but I thought I'd put the original here until I make my revision. The ending is not that great, for it was most definitely rushed. I hope my few readers enjoy though.

When Olivia Ross is the new student at a brand new school, joe is her new tour guide. How will people take this and where will Olivia and Joe take there relationship. Read on to find out. (So looking back I realized most of the beginning chapters were short. Im sorry about that, once you go deeper in the story the chapters get longer.)

this is literally just my experience in 8th grade and I want to share it. this is coming from someone with slight anxiety. if you want to prepare yourself for 8th grade i don't know if reading this is a good idea. it is very accurate for a lot of people but i don't want to ruin anyones vision for middle school. *i did not use anyones real names for obvious reasons
