Hermione and Draco return to Hogwarts for their eighth year to find they are the new Head Girl and Head Boy. Worse yet, strange things seem to be happening at Hogwarts. Magic going wrong, old friends with new faces, books that speak in riddles. Can they get to the bottom of this? After all, Hermione and Draco hate each other. Nothing can change that - not being paired for a research project, not having to share a dorm, not even a peace treaty forcing them to cooperate. At least, that's what they tell themselves as they lie awake at night thinking about each other.

Eighth year at Hogwarts is going to be boring. That's what Draco Malfoy thinks when the Wizengamot makes attendance a condition of his pardon. After all, after letting Death Eaters into the school, failing to kill his headmaster, and being forced to serve a homicidal madman, how could finishing up his education *possibly* be interesting? Answer: a coveted Transfigurations advanced study position, Minerva Mcgonagall's surprising fondness for him, thestrals, tea with Hagrid, tutoring Harry Potter, Granger and Weasley's excessive PDA, and the perplexing nature of sleight-of-hand double-dates with Harry, Luna, and Ginny. And then, of course, there's righteously indignant (if misinformed) Weasley, Draco's own insecurities and flair for dramatics, and a long-suffering Kingsley Shacklebolt. If I can work in tie-switching and Great Hall relationship reveal I will, because those are some of my very favorite tropes.

Harry Potter drunkenly stumbles into a muggle tattoo shop before the start of eighth year. His wand suddenly disappears as well after a rather tolerable interaction between himself and Draco Malfoy. Suspicious, isn't it? Harry thinks so.

The teachers of Hogwarts have always had a peculiar fondness for the three boys that were deemed the chosen ones. Harry Potter, the True Chosen One, a reckless Gryffindor with a terrible past Draco Malfoy, the Dark Chosen One, a snarky Slytherin also with a terrible past And Neville Longbottom, the Could've-Been Chosen One, a shy Gryffindor with a dreaded life of fear for both sides The teachers have always felt compelled to assist and comfort the boys who have heavy shoulders and scarred bodies. So they made a club. Just for the teachers and just about the three boys. However, Hermione caught wind of it and requested to make a student run version of it. It resulted in after class talks to COPC teachers about their findings between students and teachers. The boys never knew about it until their 8th year. At that point, they had been getting closer because of shared trauma. Let's see what happens, yes?

What happens when certain Ravenclaws try to take this to their advantage in order to finally win the House Cup?
