This is based off of one of my comments on @Gay_Sriracha's book called the Week of Games. It's an AU of the beginning

Draco was fuming, as he sat silently on one of the plush couches at the edge of the great hall. Why hadn't anyone told him about the welcoming party they had been planning? But fortunately for him, an absolutely wasted Harry Potter wanders about and strikes a conversation- slowly weaving into the topics Draco was desperate to know more of. It seemed that Potter had answers that to questions Draco had never even thought of. But, goddammit, did Potter had to drink so ruddy much?! Draco is desperate for answers, and so tries everything (that wouldn't hurt his pride) to get a hold of Potter again. Hermione is a Zabini... Draco's got a new crush... and Hogwarts, eighth year, is turning out to be full of twists and turns in the winding hall of fate.

Draco had the whole world in his hands, tipping into his palms. But not anymore. It is rather hard to balance the world in your palms when you cannot balance yourself. But nobody can anymore. At least, not him. OR The Eighth Year!AU where Draco Malfoy becomes a Luna Lovegood 2.0 and Harry is definitely interested in him.

It was time for a new year, unexpectedly, 'eighth years' were given a letter to come back. It was a choice they could make, go back to Hogwarts or live out the rest of their life as they wished. Draco Malfoy was stupid, either that or he was a genius who was fooling everyone. If that were the case, why did he decide to go back? Warnings: mentions of abuse, mentions of SH (self harm), mentions of SA (sexual assault), SA, SH (all warnings in a chapter will be mentioned in the beginning, please tell me if i am missing any). Draco is minding his own buisness, getting ready for bed, when he spots a peice of parchment on his pillow. It's a poem written by someone called Elegido addressed to him, but he doesn't know anyone with that name.

Draco has a secret, Harry is missing, Blaise is struggling to keep his composure, Ron is actually quite tactful and observant, and all Hermione wants is for things to go back to the way they were. An Eighth Year at Hogwarts seems peaceful at first.
