Landon Heights, CA might have left the 1980's behind over thirty years ago, but native billionaire Darren Keegan is about to kick-off a revival the likes of which this humdrum city's never known. Thanks to his endeavors, Landon Heights has just been granted its biggest tourist attraction to date: The Lone Pine Mall, a fantastical eighties-themed shopping center packed to the brim with big hair, neon colors, and an overall dose of nostalgia that could make even those who never experienced the decade sing their hearts out to Blondie.
Local teen Lucky Parrish is no exception. After sacrificing the first part of his Summer to some out-of-state family drama, he's ready to cut footloose. Where better to spend the rest of his break than at this totally far out mall? If only life could be that simple. Lucky is immediately drawn to the mall's bustling roller skating rink, where he bumps into the gruff but determined Blue Whittaker, a boy whose skill for skating is as undeniable as his stubborn nature. And when he demands that Lucky join him in the Lone Pine's up and coming skate-off for a chance to win a million dollars, Summer becomes anything but a break.

This story is very much inspired by music. Chapters are titled after song lyrics to which I owe my inspiration, and all referenced music will be specified. If you like modern music with an eighties sound, I encourage you to go take a listen and give these songs and artists some love.
