This is a story consisting of two one shots I wrote as a commission. The first chapter is about Ash's emotions at the end of episode 24 and the second chapter is about Eiji's feelings. Both of their injuries are smaller and they find their happy ending.

This story takes place right after the last episode of the Banana fish anime. Ash is on a mini-adventure to get to Japan and be able to take the next step in life with Eiji. I rewatched Banana fish two times now and the ending always gets me irritated. The original author of Banana fish herself said that it is an open ending, that the fans can choose what they want to happen next.

Kinda obvious, but ‼️BANANA FISH SPOILERS‼️ I may or may not have recently watched Banana Fish (again), the show broke me, and I need a different ending. So I made a continuation of it because I would trade everything for Ash and Eiji to be happy. This is honestly probably going to be terrible because I literally have no further plot 💀. This is all only just to bring Ash back 🫡🫡

Eiji had always told him that it's important to celebrate dates like these, that he had been reborn and had been given a second chance, a new life with him in Japan. He had promised him he would always make this day unforgettable and special for him... So why has Eiji not planned anything for his birthday? Eiji has no poker face, so surely Ash would have noticed something? What's even worse, Ash had accidentally taken over a shift at the café on his birthday and couldn't cancel it again. Will Ash still be able to celebrate his birthday with Eiji? And how will everything turn out?
