ok,so i'm sorry for my bad english and this story is write by me but the original story is a anime/manga,you can read/watch it first if you didn't.

The happy part two that you've wanted ever since the slightly open ended ending to the Banana Fish anime. In this adaption, Ash awakes in the hospital after his stab wound and decides to follow Eiji to Japan. In Tokyo, they try and relax into a normal life, opening a coffee shop full of books, and renting their own apartment. Just as they were getting comfortable, the Japanese mafia gets involved. Will they ever be able to settle down, or will trouble always follow them both? Wholesomeness with a bit of action and suspense to keep things interesting.

This is a post-canon story where Eiji comes to NYC after his pole-vaulting accident. But Ash has already been stabbed and is on the brink of death. Eiji just happens to live in his old apartment, learns some things about Ash and gets curious. When he studies in the Public Library, he encounters Ash's ghost who insists he isn't dead (yet)... So Eiji starts investigating and gets pulled into a world of danger... Since he's Eiji, he gets mixed up in danger. Of course, he meets Shorter and Sing as well who usually save him. It's another slow burn between Eiji and Ash with an angsty beginning and an eventual happy ending;-)

Note: please don't read that if you don't want to suffer through episode 24 again. This is a inner monologue of Ash while sitting in the public library after meeting with Blanca at the park but before Ash reads Eiji's letter. There will be a second part of this after reading Eiji's letter (he won't die I promise). It's like a prequel to my other story Another missed flight. Sorry, I needed that to cope with chapter 24 and some people kept pestering me about publishing it so I had no choice ... I wrote that to understand Ash's reasoning. Note that I had to pretend that Eiji told him some things directly and Ash just repeats what Eiji told him because Ash would never think or believe them about himself (like that he has a pure soul etc.) Call that relative freedom. Happy suffering ! Please don't hate me 😅

This is a story where I publish Banana Fish one shots that I write or come up with spontaneously. They are not related to each other but stand alone.

An alternative ending where Eiji saves Ash at the last minute before bleeding out. Since he's powerless in a wheelchair he has help, of course.
