In the world of heroes and villains, where quirks defined individuals and society alike, an unforeseen calamity descended upon humanity like a shroud of darkness. It wasn't a villainous mastermind or a catastrophic event triggered by quirks. It was something far more primal, far more terrifying-something that defied logic and reason.

Kirishima and Kaminari are best friends, they're inseparable, but what happens when one has a crush on the other? When Denki was a child, he was in an accident. He was in an elevator that wasn't up to code when the rigging failed and it fell to the ground floor. Everyone survived, but it left Denki with a fear of elevators that never went away. One day, he's out with friends and they decide to go to a pop-up café at the top of a very tall building. Denki thinks he'll be okay. It's been so long since he panicked on an elevator. But this elevator is like none other he's been on before. They only make it up ¾ of the way before Denki ends up going into a full-blown panic and grabs onto the one thing he knows to be safe and stable, Eiji's arm. Written for the 2020 KiriKami Bang!
