On the other, Jinx, who was kidnapped by Silco when she was a child, is ready to follow her adoptive father's steps in Zaun's most profitable kingpin business. As Ekko's popularity keeps growing, it seems inevitable that at some point he will be a nuisance to Silco, and his secret weapon is ready to fight for him.

Jinx has spent her entire life locked away in a tower by her Father, Silco, who claims that the outside world is too dangerous for her and her shimmer-infused, hair. When Ekko, a daring young inventor and firelight, stumbles upon the tower while fleeing Enforcers, he offers to take Jinx on an adventure to experience the world for the first time, unaware of the dangers that await as Silco desperately tries to bring her back.

"Did you really mean what you said inside?" Ekko asked. "Mean what?" "The whole 'you wanted to feel pretty and wear a nice dress for this evening' thing."
