After her death, Jinx escapes to the Shurima desert to escape her own monsters. Rather than running from /her/ grief, however, she finds herself increasingly involved in everyone else's. A story about grief, ghosts, identity, and the slow, aching road to love and reformation.

I was reading MasochisticHero fanfic in AO3 and got inspired to write my own aftermath of that fanfic and my own ending of arcane too (of Timebomb!). Like this is a fanfiction of a fanfiction lol. This is the aftermath story that I envisioned and hope you enjoy. Especially you, MasochisticHero! Jinx has spent her entire life locked away in a tower by her Father, Silco, who claims that the outside world is too dangerous for her and her shimmer-infused, hair. When Ekko, a daring young inventor and firelight, stumbles upon the tower while fleeing Enforcers, he offers to take Jinx on an adventure to experience the world for the first time, unaware of the dangers that await as Silco desperately tries to bring her back.

What would've happened if instead of Silco, Viktor found Powder and brought her with him? This is a story about how a single moment can change everything.

Two parallel storylines taking place in one city who's too small both of them. On one side, Ekko's community is vibrant and reliying on his inventions to keep living a decent life, while sometimes still resorting to a theft or two. On the other, Jinx, who was kidnapped by Silco when she was a child, is ready to follow her adoptive father's steps in Zaun's most profitable kingpin business. As Ekko's popularity keeps growing, it seems inevitable that at some point he will be a nuisance to Silco, and his secret weapon is ready to fight for him.
